TRAVELLING BRICKS EXHIBITION

It’s time to build a better summer with some real play time for big kids and little kids!

Whatever your age, take some time out to enjoy the amazing new exhibition at Peterborough Cathedral from July 18 - August 29.

Travelling Bricks is an extraordinary globally touring exhibition made from over one million LEGO® bricks, combined with hands-on interactive experiences designed for families to create, explore, and play together.

The exhibition features more than 120 models across 60 scenes, created by professional artists. You’ll be taken on a journey through four zones, Air, Land, Sea and Space, discovering transport history through extraordinary builds, from early inventions to modern engineering icons.

But alongside the main exhibition is a huge interactive building space. Designed to be explored at your own pace, with over 200,000 LEGO® bricks for you to use freely and let your imagination run wild – how great is that?

You’re encouraged to take your time, experiment, and create whatever comes to mind with no set outcome, no screens, and no pressure to rush; just the simple enjoyment of making something together, brick by brick.

For younger visitors, the experience continues in the super-fun Giant Soft Bricks Playland, an amazing  dedicated soft play area where the kids can climb, build, stack and explore in a safe environment designed for hands-on play.

From a 7.2-metre-long Titanic and a towering 3-metre rocket, to detailed aircraft including a Boeing 747 and historic ships such as HMS Victory and SS Great Britain, there’s plenty to discover throughout the exhibition. But just as important is the opportunity to pause, use your imagination, and create something of your own along the way. Slow down, create together, and rediscover the value of real-world play.
