Crowds packed Springfields Outlet to see musician and star of stage and screen, Martin Kemp, officially turn on the illuminations.
Hosts John Marshall and Joseph Begley from Lincs FM chatted to the musician and former EastEnders and Krays star on stage before the big switch on delighted the audience.
The outlet centre at Spalding is now looking super festive with a real tree, a Winter Wonderland Walk full of beautiful lights in the gardens and an illuminated shopping mall.
There were long queues for shoppers to have a meet and greet photo with Martin and there was more live entertainment throughout the evening from St. Paul’s Community Primary School Choir and Holbeach Town Band and Lorraine Oliver, from the King’s Lynn area (pictured below), was announced as the winner of the centre’s ‘win a car’ competition and was presented with the keys.
The competition was to celebrate the launch of Springfields’ new mobile phone and tablet VIP app, and the centre teamed-up with Spalding-based MG main dealer, WH Brand Ltd to offer one lucky competition winner a brand-new MG3 Excite.
The next big event coming up is Fright Night Fireworks on Thursday October 31, Springfields will host their annual Fireworks and Music extravaganza in Festival Gardens and this year for the first time ever with a Halloween twist.
The event will be an evening of spooky family entertainment, including a special ‘Scream Factor’ show and a fancy dress competition for everyone, hosted by Dermot O’Scary. The winner of the adult fancy-dress competition will receive a £500 Springfields Gift Card and the best kids’ fancy-dress will win a Nintendo Switch. Gates open at 6pm with fireworks at 8pm. All stores will be open until 9pm.
Christmas late night shopping begins on Monday November 18 with all stores open every weeknight to 9pm up until Monday December 23.
