THOUSANDS VISIT TRAVELLING BRICKS

Peterborough has gone LEGO® crazy with the Travelling Bricks exhibition at Peterborough Cathedral attracting 26,000 visitors over the summer.

It’s been a huge success and is another event that demonstrates the important role the Cathedral plays in attracting visitors to our city.

Since it opened in July it’s attracted thousands of people from Peterborough, the surrounding region and further afield, helping to increase footfall in the city centre and creating opportunities for visitors to experience more of what Peterborough has to offer.

And the story doesn't end there… the good news is they’re already preparing to welcome the next major exhibition: Mary, Queen of Scots: The Exhibition, running from September 21 to November 15.

You may know that Mary Queen of Scots was originally buried in Peterborough Cathedral following her execution in 1587, before her remains were later moved to Westminster Abbey

This looks set to be a stunning exhibition featuring an incredible collection of original artefacts, historic letters, personal belongings and objects connected to Mary’s extraordinary life.
