SHOWCASE ON COURSE TO BECOME A CINEMA DE LUX

Showcase Cinemas is transforming the Peterborough venue into a flagship Showcase Cinema de Lux.

Showcase Cinema in Boongate, Peterborough is currently being refurbished to bring us the ultimate cinema experience with the cinema being rebranded as Showcase Cinema de Lux.

Following the renovation of the lobby and introduction of the Lounge Bar in late 2013, all of the seats in the cinema are currently being replaced with plush, fully customisable recliners, which will be offered at no extra cost to customers.

Following similar installations in its Nottingham, Leeds and Reading venues last year, Showcase tell us we’ll be able to enjoy an ‘unprecedented level of comfort as standard’ and we can’t wait for the full refurbishment to be finished.

The renovation is part of a multi-million pound investment in cinema innovation across the UK. The first 7 screens have already been completed and are open to the public, with the rest of the screens due to be completed before Christmas.

The result will be a cinema experience unparalleled in Cambridgeshire, with crystal clear 4k digital projection and ultra-sharp image quality in every screen, coupled with the new recliner seating, which will mean movie fans can lie back and immerse themselves in the latest blockbuster in ultimate comfort.
