SANTA ARRIVES @ SACREWELL

Writer: ESP OnlineESP Online

The countdown to Christmas has begun at Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre where Father Christmas will arrive in style on Saturday November 30.

The famous figure, who’s been described by customers in the past as – ‘The best Father Christmas ever!’ will arrive by horse and cart at about 11am and will travel down to the 18th Century Mill House where he will set up for the festive period.

Marketing and Communications Officer at the Farm, Megan Horner, told ESP – “We are very proud of the traditional and festive atmosphere we create with our Father Christmas event. He sets himself up in front of the roaring fire and talks to each child individually. It’s certainly very difficult to not feel festive at Sacrewell in December!”

Father Christmas will be at the Farm every weekend from November 30 and daily from December 14 – 23.

Elsewhere on the Farm there’ll be a living Nativity set up in the Animal Village where you can see the stable set up surrounded by animals. The Farm’s donkeys Dickie Mint and Jolly Jules will be happy to greet you there.

There will also be free Christmas crafts in the Function Room which will be decked out like a Victorian street scene with Carols playing in the background to add to the effect.

Try your hand at making decorations including stained glass windows and a beautiful angel for the top of your tree!

Their heated indoor activity barn will also be open every day during Farm opening times of 10am – 4pm and the Three Little Ducks Gift Shop will be stocked high with gifts and delicious yule-tide treats.

Entry to the Farm costs £8 per child including a tractor ride, a visit to Father Christmas and a present. Childen under 2 enter for free but a trip to Father Christmas costs £5. Normal adult entry applies and includes a tractor ride. Pre-booking is available on 01780 782254.
