RUTLAND CYCLING CENTRE LAUNCHES AT FAMILY FUN DAY

Following the successful opening of Lakeside @ Ferry Meadows the centre is showcasing the new facilities and activities in its first Family Fun Day on Saturday May 10.
It will be a particularly special day for Lakeside as Rutland Cycling will be unveiling its newest cycle hire facility at Ferry Meadows as part of the celebrations.
Lakeside provides a hub for activity and relaxation within Ferry Meadows as the home for Nene Outdoors, a new watersports and outdoor activity venture, Lakeside Kitchen & Bar, a contemporary dining and function venue at the Park as well as Rutland Cycling.
Teresa Wood, Visitor Services Manager at Nene Park Trust said – “We are delighted to welcome Rutland Cycling to Ferry Meadows and believe that this new cycle hire business will complement the water based and outdoor activities already on offer at Lakeside.”
There will be opportunities to watch and take part in various activities whatever your experience and ability with £5 per person taster sessions being held by Nene Outdoors on a range of water based activities, special guided boat trips around the lake and lots more family friendly offers.
As well as introducing new faces and facilities the complex is also home to long-standing Park friends who will also be involved in the day; Lakeside Sailing Club, Peterborough Sailability, Nene Bowmen, Peterborough Adapted Cycling Scheme operated by Vivacity and, more recent addition to the complex, Packers Canoe Club. These groups are working closely with the new businesses to provide a variety of leisure opportunities for all abilities and backgrounds and they’ll be publicising their activities on May 10.
