RHYTHM ROOM OPENING IN PETERBOROUGH

Nightlife is getting a real boost in Peterborough with a second nightclub opening this month.

After the successful recent opening of Club Liberation on New Road in Peterborough, when stars from Love Island joined the fun, the previously much loved neighbouring Chicago Rock venue is being brought back to life as Rhythm Room.

The two venues are being run by a new leisure company called Dance Drink & Entertainment Limited.

It’s over eight years since Chicago Rock closed its doors and after a sizeable investment to re brand it’s set to open in its new guise this Saturday October 16.

Luminar Leisure founder Stephen Thomas who opened the building back in 1998 has formed the new company (DD&E Ltd) based on the core values of going out to enjoy yourself. He’s kept a watchful eye on the industry and even more so during lockdown and believes now is the time to build a new concept and get people out enjoying themselves once again in a safe well-run venue.

Stephen told ESP - “We have a number of projects on the go now, but Rhythm Room Peterborough is going to be particularly special as it was one of the first venue’s I opened back in the 90’s. It’s a great city and I remember enjoying some great nights out there.

“We’ve been on an amazing journey with this venue, I remember going out in Peterborough and I know after such a challenging time we all want to get back to some normality, the team have been working day and night n Liberation to make it look fantastic for the people of Peterborough. I can’t wait to get the doors finally open and invite people in.”

It’s hoped the launch of Rhythm Room will match the successful launch of Club Liberation. Peter Bell - Operations Director for DDE Group who has a long history of involvement with venues in Peterborough, told ESP - "It was great to see after months of planning and hard work from the team we finally got Liberation in Peterborough open. What was more important was that everyone I spoke to had a great time and really enjoyed themselves, as did the team.

“ What was even better the Love Island team interacted with all the customers on the Saturday which made it that extra bit special. We are now under way planning our events for Halloween and Christmas so look forward to seeing everyone again soon."

Tickets are now on sale for the opening weekend of their second venue, Rhythm Room, and you can purchase your tickets by visiting www.rhythmroom.uk
