Work’s progressing well on the new Peterborough venue, Forty Two on Broadway, with the team behind it hopeful of opening by the end of May.
The plan is to make the venue one of the leading places to eat and drink in the city centre offering cocktails and tapas.
A spokesman said: “We have been working very hard on the project transforming the former venue into something amazing for the people of Peterborough.”
The former Café En Seine and Fever bar site is being dramatically remodelled to feature a beautiful bar leading through to a relaxing conservatory area an outdoor covered shisha lounge.
It also includes the Sky Bar on the first floor of the venue with its own bar, sound-system and view across the city. This is designed for private functions, parties, wedding receptions and corporate events, as well as the luxe lounge which is an intimate room which can be hired for a private small occasion or event.
A Forty Two spokesman added – “We want to offer the people of Peterborough somewhere special to enjoy an offering of food, drink and shisha that they will only be used to seeing in the leading cities of the UK.”
Forty Two will be open seven days a week, Monday to Thursday: 3pm until 3am, Friday and Saturday’s: 1pm until 3am and Sunday’s: 12 noon until 3am.
It will serve tapas Monday to Thursday until 10pm and until 9pm on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
“We will be offering an amazing range of tapas dishes from around the world as our menu focus, we have an amazing head chef who has a number of years experience in the food industry and we have been working with him to create an amazing menu perfect for sharing and enjoying.
“Food will be served seven days a week until 10pm Monday to Thursday and until 9pm on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will also be offering a theme per month from around the world so watch out for those too!”
The venue also boasts an open fronted kitchen where you’ll be able to watch their chefs and kitchen in action plus the venue also has a number of luxury seating options offering waiter service.
The bar will offer a broad array of bottled beers, ciders, spirits, prosecco, wine and champagnes.
The shisha lounge will boast luxury outdoor seating options, outdoor heating and all of the area will be covered with a canopy.
Music wise the venue’s main nights will be Fridays and Saturdays offering a variety of music styles from 9pm until 3am and entry’s free.
Within the first few months of opening the team also intend to launch their own cocktail masterclass to learn how to make cocktails – which sounds great for a birthday or hen party with a maximum of 12 people in the group.
