Located in a picturesque forest setting on the edge of the Burghley Estate, this purpose-built group adventure centre is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in nature. ESP's Mike Clarke put it to the test....

I must confess, prior to my own visit, I'd found myself slumped on the couch, deep inside a 4-hour YouTube rabbit hole. I didn't realise just how much I needed or wanted this real life experience until I was there!

For years, Rat Race Dirty Weekend was the highlight of the facility, attracting participants from across the globe to take on its incredible obstacles. While the event has since concluded, its legacy lives on, and visitors can still test their mettle on the course's challenging obstacles.

At risk of sounding like a cheesy car salesman... ‘The fun doesn't stop there!’ Forest Facility offers an abundance of activities that are sure to get your heart racing. I genuinely felt so alive doing the zip wire, abseil, climbing wall and their fantastic leap of faith, which is exactly as it is described: Hold onto your hat, step off a platform placed way up high and…keep the faith! It was terrifying (as you may have seen from the video on our Facebook page) but so exhilarating.

Archery and axe-throwing are perfect for those who prefer a more grounded and traditional form of adventure, while lake-based activities such as kayaking and paddle boarding offer a refreshing way to beat the heat.

If you're looking for something truly unique, Forest Facility's underground escape rooms are a must-try.

As you can see, there is literally something for everyone.

They welcome groups of all shapes and sizes from 6 to 200+ who can choose either a ready-made package, or a 'Build your own Adventure Day'.
