Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at various venues all over the country, is bringing a brand new comedy night to The Nag’s Head, Bourne on Saturday May 21.
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to them twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as ‘among the best anywhere in the world’.
Headlining the launch is comedian and script writer Sean Percival (pictured top). His brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. His down to earth act is bang up to date with its upfront attitude, no long stories, just gags galore.
Support comes from the jaunty and engaging Danny Ward (pictured left), winner of ‘Amused Moose Laughter Award People’s Choice’ at the Edinburgh Festival 2013. Entertaining the crowds with his wonderful observations and amusingly sharp comments, his laid-back approach and extraordinary structure of words are a breath of fresh air.
Completing the line-up will be octogenarian comic, Lynn Ruth Miller who even made Simon Cowell laugh on Britain’s Got Talent!
The energetic Ben Murray is MC for the evening with his cheeky, chatty and upbeat style.
Tickets are £8 in advance, 7.30pm doors open, show starts at 8.30pm.
