East Anglian Air Ambulance and ESP are glowing all out this October – join the party!
Over 1,500 people will take on a night-time, neon 5km run at the East of England Showground on Saturday October 21 and we challenge you to raise at least £50 for East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA)!
EAAA are a charity offering a helicopter emergency medical service in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Since 2000 the crews have attended more than 22,000 missions in East Anglia and rely on donations to keep saving lives in the region. In 2017 the crews have attended an average of more than eight missions every day, and each mission costs the Charity an average of £3,500.
Leanne Tyers, EAAA Fundraising Officer for the Peterborough area, said: “Our motto is ‘together we save lives’ and every penny raised at Glow in the Park will go directly towards saving lives in the area. Everyone taking part and fundraising should be proud of whatever they raise and know that when they see our helicopter flying over or landing at Peterborough City Hospital that they helped us to reach, treat and transport that patient in need of our lifesaving service and we are so grateful.”

£50 could pay for 15 minutes of fuel for the EAAA helicopters, which would fund a lifesaving flight from the air ambulance base in Cambridge to Peterborough, or flying a patient from Peterborough to Addenbrooke’s for specialist treatment.
