HAVE A CREATIVE CHRISTMAS @ SERPENTINE GREEN

Local children will get the chance to show off their creative skills by helping make a giant Christmas card at Serpentine Green this Saturday November 30.

Children will be able to join in the free Christmas craft workshop to decorate the supersized Christmas card outside Mothercare between 12 and 4pm. They will also be able to make angels, robins, stars and snowmen decorations to hang on their tree at home.

This is the first in a series of family events at Serpentine Green in the run up to Christmas.

On Saturday December 6 Serpentine Green will host a Christmas Cookery Workshop from 12pm to 4pm where children can decorate edible decorations to brighten up their Christmas tree.

On Sunday December 8 there will be a visit from two Christmas Reindeer and a snowy owl. They will be located outside at the North Entrance.

On Sunday December 15 there will be a special appearance from Bjorn the polar bear (pictured). The life-sized animatronic polar will perform three shows in the food court at 12pm, 2pm and 3pm and looks amazing!

Chantelle Watson, Serpentine Green manager, told ESP – “We are looking forward to some really great Christmas fun days over the next few weeks to keep the children entertained while Mums and Dads go shopping.”

Santa’s grotto, which is being run by Peterborough based charity RNIB, is open for children to meet Santa. Entry is £5, including a present for each child. The money will go to RNIB.
