The fantastic Glamour Galore event at Thorpe Hall, supported by ESP, has helped raise over £2,000 for the new hospice appeal.
The day included stalls selling gifts and goodies, a pamper zone and fashion shows staged by ESP Magazine featuring the latest looks from John Lewis in Queensgate.
Glamour Galore raised £2,237 in total which will go towards the Sue Ryder appeal to raise £6 million to build a new modern hospice in the grounds of Thorpe Hall.
It was a great day out for picking up some Christmas gifts and some style tips. The fashion shows featured ESP models wearing the latest winter coats and evening wear for the party season. Day services member Linda Pope once again stole the show on the catwalk.
The shows were compered by ESP’s Sarah Tempest and our style guru Sue Donnelly who had plenty of advice on how to wear the new styles. If you missed out you can read Sue’s feature on the outfits and view some of the clothes featured in the fashion section of this website.
Apollo Hair & Beauty pampered ladies on the day, including our catwalk models giving some of them some extra glamour with great hair styling.
Regional fundraiser Jackie Page told ESP – “We had brilliant support from ESP (of course!), John Lewis, Sue Donnelly and our volunteers who worked so hard to make the day a success.
“Glamour Galore has been one of our most popular events for a number of years and it was great to welcome so many people to Thorpe Hall again to enjoy a day of pampering.
“All the money raised has gone into our appeal to build our new hospice at Thorpe Hall.”
