Fancy getting up close and personal with the Romans this month?!
There are some great events planned where you can discover more about Roman life both on and off the battlefield at Peterborough Museum this month.
From Tuesday August 12 – Thursday August 14, 10am – 5pm the Roman army is conquering Peterborough Museum and you can join up!
Meet a fierce soldier and hear his terrifying tales of warfare.
Make your own Roman army standard to take home.
Get hands on with real Roman artefacts.
It’s just £3.50 adults, £2.50 concessions, £8 families.
The second event looks at a very different aspect of Roman life – how they managed at home. We’ve all seen the movies and what amazing soldiers they were, but what were they like when it came to domestic life?
From Tuesday August 19 – Thursday August 21, 10am – 5pm you can get a behind-the-scenes glance of what it was really like to be Roman.
Meet costumed characters and delve into their amazing stories.
Handle real artefacts over 2,000 years old!
Explore the museum with a family trail.
Get stuck in with our hands-on crafts and make your own face pot to take home!
It’s just £3.50 adults, £2.50 concessions, £8 families.
There’s no need to book for either of these events, just drop in!
