Continental beer, food, music and a good old knees up… Decemberfest is coming!
Peterborough will be hosting its first ever Decemberfest running for six days from Thursday December 19 to Tuesday December 24 hosted in the new North Street Bar Courtyard Function Room.
Decemberfest is a Continental Christmas festival of beer, food and fantastic live music. There’ll be a selection of over 25 beers from across Europe, to be enjoyed within a Black Forest themed winter wonderland, together with seasonal favourites like hot Gluhwein, Schnapps, mulled cider and festive food.
On Thursday the 19th and Friday the 20th the astonishing Hosen Brass will be performing a group of professional brass players brought together by their desire to play in a German style and wear Lederhosen, with a set list ranging from Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the Name Of’ to Culture Club’s ‘Karma Chameleon’! Tickets priced £16.50 or £90 for a table of six including a two course meal and Schnapps on arrival – a great idea for a Christmas party!
On the evening of Saturday the 21st top local band ‘Children of the Revolution’ take to the stage and on the afternoon of Sunday the 22nd it’s the High Rollers! On Monday the 23rd the ever popular James Edmonds performs and on Christmas Eve at 1pm it’s Joe Solo’s turn, with a set to include some classic Christmas favourites.
Admission for Saturday to Tuesday is free, but for Children of The Revolution and the High Rollers advance tickets including food and Schnapps are available at £6 each or £30 for a table of six, including allocated table, and guaranteed entry.
So dust off your Lederhosen and raise a Stein or two at Peterborough’s first Decemberfest!
