EASTER HOLIDAY EVENTS AT NENE PARK

There’s so much to keep all the family entertained at Nene Park over the Easter holiday break there’s no need to sit in a traffic queue and head further afield. There’s even the opportunity to camp out so you could have a local staycation packed with some great activities!

From an Easter egg hunt and holiday trail to archery and climbing sessions there is something on every day in the Park from April 1 - 16. The Pay & Play watersports mean there’s endless fun to be had on the lake on boats, kayaks, pedalos and much more or why not head off down the river on the electric boat? We’ve tried this and can really recommend it for a tranquil 45 minute trip seeing the river and its wildlife from a new angle.

The Ferry Meadows Easter Egg Hunt is on Friday April 7 from 10.30am-2.30pm. It’s £10 per booking which includes two Easter egg prizes and is suitable for any age.

There’s Music in the Park on Sunday April 9 with the Salvation Army Band performing live in front of the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows. Grab a coffee, sit down and relax during two services at 8.15am and 11am.

The climbing wall will be back at Nene Outdoors on Tuesday April 4 from 11am-3pm, with sessions running throughout the day. Great fun for both adults and children age 4 and over, but you’ll need to book for this one and sessions are £12 per person.

Unleash your inner Robin Hood! There’s the chance to try archery on Thursday April 13 from 11am-3pm. Sessions are 45 minutes long and take place on Oak Meadow close to Nene Outdoors. Sessions are £12 per person and suitable for ages 8 and over.

There are nature events, pond dipping sessions and arts and crafts to try – just visit the Nene Park website for all the dates and details.

With so much to enjoy why not make the most of it by camping out and making it a real adventure? You can enjoy a night or more under canvas at either of their two campsites. It’ll make you feel like you’ve been away and you can opt for pitch-only camping or hire one of their lovely bell tents. Located in the heart of Ferry Meadows, both campsites are ideally situated to take advantage of all the exciting activities on offer at Nene Outdoors.

Just head to www.nenepark.org.uk/events to find out more and to book in advance for any of our specific events and activities.
