Crowland South View Community Primary School hosts its first ever circus this Friday July 5 – and are looking to raise money for the school in the process.
Happy’s Circus – with vast experience in working alongside charities and school Parent/Teacher Associations – is coming to town, and will be performing a two hour family experience in a ‘The Greatest Showman’ style, within a traditional big top tent on the Postland Road-based school field.
The circus show will feature acrobats, aeralists, illusionists – and of course clowns – and will also include an exclusive performance from Crowland Dance Company.
Gina Padmore, from the Crowland South View PTA, said: “We wanted to do something different this year instead of a traditional summer fayre – but also something both kids and grown-ups could get involved in and remember forever.”
The performance starts at 6pm, but gates open at 5pm for a school fete including a BBQ, fish & chips, tombola, drinks, games and other family-friendly activities – with all money raised going back into improving facilities at the school.
Patricia Randall, General Manager of Happy’s Circus, said: “With over three decades of working with PTA’s and charities, we are passionate about re-engaging audiences’ imaginations within the enchanting world of circus, while raising substantial funds and promoting community spirit.”
Tickets are £10 per person, or discounted family tickets are £30 for four people. They are on sale from www.friendsofsouthview.co.uk
