Time to get festive! Join Prime Brass and Peterborough Cathedral Choir for an evening of Christmas music...
Cambridge based brass ensemble, Prime Brass, will join Peterborough Cathedral Choir, Youth Choir and Festival Chorus for an uplifting programme of Christmas music at the Cathedral on Friday December 16 at 7.30pm.
The programme will include the joyous Hodie Christus Natus Est by Francis Poulenc, designated by the BBC Music Magazine website in 2015 as one of the 25 best Christmas carols ever written. Also featured is Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, arranged for choir and piano by Cathedral Lay Clerk and composer, George Haynes.
To add to the Christmas cheer, Prime Brass will play some music just for brass, and the audience will be invited to sing along with some familiar Christmas carols.
Tickets for the concert are £25, £20, £15 (U18s half price). They are available online via www.peterborough-cathedral.org.uk, or from Oundle Box Office on 01832 274734, Peterborough Information Centre on 01733 452336 and Stamford Arts Centre on 01780 763203.
The concert is presented in association with Hunt and Coombs Solicitors.
