The city centre light switch on in Peterborough was a huge success with the biggest crowd ever in Cathedral Square!
ESP Magazine is always at the best events and our team was there to capture the action – if you missed out you can view our fantastic video coverage of the event below.
The day (November 16) kicked off with school choirs entertaining shoppers as they took to the stage in Cathedral Square and the anticipation built throughout the day.
At 2pm the ESP Dance Crew thn kicked off the live music section with some fantastic routines and had the crowd, and even the Heart FM Angels, dancing and singing along!
They started off with a fun Jacksons set followed later by some stunning street dance.
The event was full of local talent and city musicians including Lexie Green and The Nuggets kept the live tunes flowing until the early evening with Heart FM’s breakfast show presenters Kev & Ros hosting the show.
Then the choir from hit show Joseph, coming to The Broadway Theatre in December, and Jacob from the show entertained the crowds before being joined by Santa, the Mayor and Marco Cereste, leader of Peterborough City Council to turn on the amazing Christmas lights display.
There was a burst of fireworks and Christmas officially started in the city!
Congratulations to everyone involved and the City Council for a cracking event. Pick up our next issue of ESP Magazine for full coverage but in the meantime check out what you missed in our video of the event…
