Start your Christmas with a bang at Peterborough One Retail Park’s biggest ever FREE festive family show.

This year, Peterborough One are pulling out all the stops to dazzle visitors at the centre’s first ever Lights Switch-On Spectacular. On Saturday November 25 they will be switching on the lights of a jaw-droppingly massive Christmas tree, which will be the largest in the region.

Join them at Peterborough One Retail Park (formerly Garden Park) in Eye for an afternoon and early evening of fun, games and live entertainment including magical live dance performances. The evening will end in a bang with a dramatic fireworks show to music.

The event will be hosted by Josh from Heart FM. Josh will be bringing his own brand of fun and banter to the stage and inviting visitors to join in with some fantastic games where big prizes can be won.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet Sid and Scrat from the super popular Ice Age movies. It’s all free to attend so it’s the perfect way to celebrate the start of the festive period.

In addition to the switch on spectacular, you’ll be able to enjoy a host of other festive activities throughout November and December.

Peterborough One has teamed up with Van Hage to bring an outdoor ice rink to the park starting on November 17. So head down and get your skates on and take a spin around the only festive ice rink in town. Beginners and pros welcome and skate hire is included in your admission ticket.

Meet Santa in his Grotto in the Van Hage garden centre from Sunday December 3 onwards.

If you’re struggling to find that perfect present, head along to their Christmas Craft Fayre for inspired, one-of-a-kind gifts created by independent and passionate crafters and designers.

For dates, times and up to date information on all the activities over Christmas, keep an eye on their website, www.pe1.co.uk and Facebook and Twitter.
