Blast off into outer space with a special event at Peterborough Museum and meet some of your favourite science fiction characters…

The exciting event ‘Beam me up Peterborough’  ties in with Peterborough Museum’s new Space: Fact & Fiction exhibition (supported by the UK Space Agency) and is happening on Saturday June 29 – Sunday June 30, from 10am-5pm.

Join all your favourite characters from science fiction! Meet Klingons, Star Fleet Officers, Star Wars bounty hunter and more as they take over the Museum. Why not have your picture taken in a Klingon chair… if you dare!

Throughout the weekend there’ll be a programme of activities, trails and talks – fun for the whole family! Join in with sci-fi themed craft, plus at 2pm each day there’ll be an exciting talk covering what’s really involved in providing scientific advice to a Hollywood blockbuster with Dr Hugh Mortimer from STFC RAL Space, and a history of Doctor Who with Vivacity’s Heritage Interpretation Manager Stuart Orme.

Event admission prices are £3 adults, children £2, families £6, and under 5s and Heritage Pass holders are FREE.
