For those who missed it, ESP’s Anna Ruggiero has the low down on The Autumn Food and Country Fair that took place at Peterborough Arena.
It’s been a while since I attended the East of England Showground and I remember being a small child wandering the site feeling in awe of it all so I was doubly excited to go back and visit this wonderful event.
I wasn’t disappointed, there was a real buzz to the new-look show with a fantastic range of food, drink, animals and people with around 10, 000 visitors enjoying the day!
There were so many highlights, from giant vegetables (huge in fact), wine tasting (just the one), cheese sampling (why not?!), dogs jumping through hoops, horses dressed to impress and of course, the dazzling artisan baker Paul Hollywood, so all in all us visitors were thoroughly catered for!
Peterborough Arena event manager Kerry Buttriss told me: “The Fair was a tremendous success and we have received some fantastic feedback about the new look and foodie feel to the event.
“With so many other events happening locally on the same day, the turn out for us was absolutely fantastic. This show has now become an annual date that people look forward to.”
Peterborough Arena has set a real precedent with the new style show and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next year.
Great job everyone!
