WINGSTOP OPENS IN PETERBOROUGH

Another new eatery opened its doors in Peterborough today.

Wingstop UK has taken over the former Franco Manca site on Cathedral Square.

To celebrate the highly-anticipated launch, the first 100 people through the door received free chicken wings.

The new restaurant hosts 72 covers and you can expect the full Wingstop UK menu of wings, tenders, burgers and sides. They’re known for classic wings, boneless wings and tenders, always cooked to order and hand sauced and tossed in fans’ choice of 10 distinctive flavours.

The city’s newest eatery is part of  Wingstop UK’s ambitious growth plans in the UK, with more than 20 new locations set to launch by the end of the year.

Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UK: “Peterborough has been on our radar for a while, and we’re excited to finally bring our signature flavour to the city this June. Long Causeway, a bustling spot in the heart of the city centre, is the ideal location for us to meet local demand. As we continue expanding across the UK, we’re focused on delivering delicious food, great vibes, and standout experiences for our fans.”

Last month, Wingstop UK was recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025, and was highly commended for Best Places to Work for Ethnic Minority Employees. With standout initiatives like the Step-Up Programme, designed to equip aspiring managers with the skills they need to succeed, Wingstop UK fosters a positive, inclusive and collaborative culture.
