WARWICK OPENS NEW YAXLEY FESTIVAL

Local actor Warwick Davis of Harry Potter and Star Wars fame is the celebrity guest opening the Yaxley Festival on the weekend of May 18 – 19.
Warwick, who recently appeared in Dr Who, will be joined by local MP Shailesh Vara to launch this free event made possible by a Lottery grant.
It’s all being held on Middletons Road Recreation Ground, in Yaxley and it’s hoped it’ll become an annual event.
There’s a great line up of entertainment planned including a Live Music Zone featuring Groove Cartel, Vendetta, Sons of Kal-El, The 925s, From the Sticks plus, the amazing Abbalarf and talented Simon Lee.
There’s a History Zone with two historical exhibitions, a Sports Zone will include everything from virtual golf to penalty shoot-outs, and the Animal Zone
Where you can get up close and personal with a whole menagerie of interesting beasties!
That’s not all – add into the mix a fun dog show, classic car show, an arts exhibition, funfair, quiz and plenty of stalls, food and drink and it sounds like a weekend you shouldn’t miss!
