ESP’s Mikey Clarke says Peterborough WizCon will be magic!
I remember watching the very first showing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at the Broadway Theatre back in 2011. In a packed out auditorium just shy of twelve-hundred people, I wasn’t the only person who fell in love with all things magical that day.

I’m still a fan to this day and therefore can’t wait for WizCon to come to Peterborough on Sunday March 24.
The event will be packed full of witchcraft and wizardry, featuring Meet and Greet opportunities with some of the actors in the Harry Potter films – including Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle) and Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley).
There will also be an exciting pop-up escape room from Hour Escape Rooms, a Wand Fighting Masterclass, a wide range of magical merchandise and much more.
I have attended similar events before such as Peterborough’s Comic Con and Feel the Force Day.
My favourite thing about them is seeing the fans go through such incredible effort in creating costumes.
It’s great to see organisers are encouraging people to go all out with WizCon too.
As part of the fun stage content, there will be a Cosplay Contest.
So if you’re a fan of the wizarding world, get creative and go dressed as your favourite character from the films to be in with the chance of winning a fantastic prize!
It’s great to see amazing events like this taking place in our city and I feel it’s just the start.
Of course, these things can only continue and grow with our support. I will of course be in attendance (I wouldn’t miss it for the world!) and I hope to see you there.

General admission is £16.50, with half day tickets £11.50 and other offers available for meet & greets.
Everything mentioned above is just the tip of the iceberg.
