As the nights draw in it’s time to celebrate the Festival of Light and this year’s Diwali celebrations will certainly bring some brightness to Peterborough city centre.
Diwali is the latest in a series of free cultural festivals held in the city and this is the sixth year it has been held.
With classical and Bollywood style dancing, music and food this great event will be full of Indian culture and festivities. Head to Cathedral Square on Saturday October 19 between 10.30pm and 5pm for this free festival supported by Peterborough City Council.
There’ll be traditional Indian costumes a Diwali Bazaar, entertainment and of course plenty of candles and lights which make it a visually stunning event.
