Long standing Stanground pub The Whittle Way has had a major facelift and is officially reopened tonight (Friday November 8) after a £260,000 refurb!
Pub regular John Tutty who’s been drinking there since it opened back in 1963 will be cutting the ribbon along with the Mayor at 6pm.
Thousand have been invested to improve the pub with a complete redecoration and landlord Jamie Brown promises it’ll be unrecognisable to those who used to drink there!
Part of the pub has an area for contemporary dining and the other half has a sports bar feel with five screens and a 10ft projector.
There are two different menus available and both have children’s and vegetarian options.
They’ll also be doing their bit for real ale fans with at least three available so far and more on the way.
It’s always good to hear of a local pub having a new lease of life rather than closing, so good luck to Jamie the landlord and has team!
