The State of Freedom are set to play their first Peterborough headline gig at The Met Lounge in over 12 years!
Scheduled for Saturday December 30, the outfit promise some of their old classics, covers and a whole lot of fun.
Fans of noughties pop punk – think Bowling for Soup, Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish – will revel in The State of Freedom’s unique take from the glorious era, when the movement conquered the hearts of young music fans up and down the country. The four piece, comprising of Adam Masters, Rob Woods, Paul England and AC Cox headlined The Met numerous times, so don’t miss the chance for this bounce and thrash your way down memory lane.
The club night will follow the gig, and will play everything that mattered at The Met from 1999 to 2008, so the night promises to be a real blast from the past. DJ’s Andy Hilders and Alex Elmer take to the decks to spin tracks from a range of genres, including Nu Metal, Pop Punk, New York Indie and Britpop, truly transporting you back in time.
There are more great nights in the lead up to this gig though as CODE RED takes over The Met on December 22 and on December 29 it’s Planet of Sound and later on there’s a big party planned for New Year’s Eve.
