The live music scene in the city is looking pretty healthy and there’s another packed month of great gigs at The Burghley in Peterborough.
Well known for its food, Sunday carvery and various special events, this club on Burghley Road is also a key venue for nights out for live music fans.
If you like your live tunes there are gigs every Friday and Saturday night and there’s an eclectic mix this May.
Kicking things off on Saturday May 5 it’s Cuban & Cognac and the following weekend it’s Jessie’s Ghost live on Friday May 11 followed by Soul FX on Saturday May 12 – that night the Jelly Roll DJs will be on upstairs too.
Friday May 18 it’s the amazingly talented Nicole Lawrence (pictured), who appeared on the X Factor, belting out a great range of tunes. You’re always guaranteed a great night out when Nicole sings.
It’s all change on Saturday May 19 as Lizzy on the Loose rock out with all the Thin Lizzy classics. Head down earlier and make the most of The Burghley’s Royal Wedding BBQ and Gin Festival from 12 noon onwards.
The next bank holiday weekend gets started on Friday May 25 with RPM UK and The Intruders are live on Saturday May 26.
