Teddy bears will be the guests of honour at the Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre Teddy Bears’ Adventure Day on August 18.
Children and their stuffed animals will be asked to complete a series of adventures throughout the day in exchange for a stamp on their challenge card. Once the card is full they’ll receive a certificate to prove how brave they are!
But what will the challenges be? Teddies will be challenged to jump on a raft and escape the clutches of the Sacrewell pirates; they’ll have to scale great heights and jump with a bunjee rope over the stream and then zip wire to a heroic landing outside the Mill House.
All teddies will be invited onto a tractor ride* through the Farm where they’ll be dropped off at the entrance to the Enchanted Wood. But who will be lurking there among the trees? Only Sacrewell’s very own cuddly teddy having a picnic!
Photographers Vanessa and Kevin will be there to snap your adventures with loveable character Balou the Bear if you would like them to and photos will be available to purchase from reception as a souvenir.
Marketing and Communications Officer Megan Horner told ESP – “This is the second year we have held a Teddy Bears’ Adventure Day at the Farm as last year’s was such a success!
“Only the very bravest teddies will be able to complete all the challenges – do you think yours will succeed?”
Each teddy will be given a name sticker so that we know who they belong to.
Normal Summer Fun farm activities will be suspended for the day to accommodate the teddy bears and their adventures. Why not bring a picnic and make a day of it? Or buy a delicious pack-up in Fresh at Sacrewell to take out onto the Farm with you.
