ARMED FORCES DAY

Celebrate our armed forces past and present at this special event in Cathedral Square hosted by Peterborough City Council on Saturday June 27, from 10am - 5pm.

A Civic Parade will open the day and there’ll be live music interspersed with military displays and parades. You can expect a mix of live entertainment, music, classic and military vehicles, stalls and attractions as well as an amazing Battle of Britain flypast.

There’ll be music from The Boatmen at 10.30am, Chanel Hughes at 11.45am and line and  swing dance displays at 1pm, followed by singing duo Martin and Della at 2.15pm so it should be a wonderful free day out in the city centre.

Serving military, veterans, and cadets, in Peterborough, are eligible for free bus travel with Stagecoach this weekend.

The initiative covers all Stagecoach East bus services, allowing members of the Armed Forces community to travel for free to parades, ceremonies and community events around the region.

The opportunity is available to any serving military professional, veteran or cadet wearing medals or a veteran's badge, anyone in uniform or with proof of military ID.
