Families looking for things to do during the school holidays can enjoy a summer of fun at Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire!
Swing, slide and zip in the Woodland Adventure Playground, solve riddles and clues in the brand new Summer Nature Trail, and enjoy the jam-packed schedule of family-friendly activities running throughout the holidays.
Families can now visit Grimsthorpe for less - due to their involvement in the Great British Summer Savings scheme, family and child admission tickets are now sold at a discounted rate until the 1st of September.
If you’ve never been Grimsthorpe Castle is located just 10 minutes from Bourne, and sits amongst 3000 acres of countryside. Open from Sunday to Thursday until the 30th September, you can explore 500 years of family history, relax in the beautiful formal gardens, take a stroll around the lake or let little ones burn off energy in the woodland Adventure Playground.

From the 21st of July until the end of September, children can also embark on a brand-new Summer Nature Trail, following clues through the gardens and playground to discover fascinating wildlife before collecting a prize at the end of their adventure. The trail is included with standard admission.

There are popular storytelling sessions in the Adventure Playground with the resident storyteller, who creates his own stories as well as adapting classic folk tales and songs. Storytelling is also included in an admission ticket, and will be accompanied by the Travelling Bookshop, selling a variety of reads for all ages in the Castle grounds.

There’s so much happening in a varied summer programme which includes family friendly outdoor theatre, historical experiences such as Tudor re-enactments and horse and carriage demonstrations, wildlife activities and car displays.
