SIT DOWN – JAMES ARE NEXT ACT TO PLAY NEWMARKET!

The Jockey Club Live have revealed that JAMES are the latest act to join the Newmarket Nights summer season, performing on Friday August 4.

Since forming in Manchester in 1982, James’ enduring creativity and musical legacy has made them one of the most influential British indie bands. During their music career now spanning over 30 years, they’ve released 14 studio albums, selling 13 million albums worldwide and hits include ‘Sit Down’, ‘Laid’ and ‘She’s A Star’. With continued commercial success, last year their latest studio album, ‘Girl At The End Of The World’ went straight in at #2 in the UK charts and received critical acclaim.

Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said – “We are really excited to announce James as the next act for Newmarket Nights and welcome them to the Adnams July Course for the first time. It will be fantastic to see them perform their hits for our racegoers this summer and I am sure they will put on a fantastic show.”

The announcement that James are to play live adds to a great line-up already revealed including ESP’s April issue cover stars Little Mix on Friday June 23, Olly Murs on Friday August 18, Jess Glynne on Saturday August 26, The Jacksons on Friday June 30 and Chase & Status on Friday August 11.

Tickets to see James will be on sale at 8am on Friday April 7 via http://www.thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a presale available to customers at 8am on Wednesday April 5. Tickets are priced starting at £26 adult /£13 child (under 18). Please note child tickets are limited.
