An England rugby international will be in Peterborough on the last Sunday of January as the city’s biggest club stages a promotional recruitment day.
Boro’, who play in Fengate – near the Greyhound Stadium – started an under-17 girls team this season and hope to set up an under-15 girls side as well before too long.
The international player, whose identity was not confirmed at the time of writing, helped the England women’s team to win their Six Nations last season while reaching the final of the World Cup.
She’ll be hoping to meet teenage girls from across the city who are looking to take up a sport which will keep them fit and provide a great social life as well.
Anyone interested should turn up at the Second Drove ground at 10.30 on Sunday January 27.
Boro’ also has mixed squads at every age from under-6 up to under-12 and boys teams from under-13 to under-16 inclusive.
The under-6s, under-7s, under-8s and under-10s are also keen to see any new players – boys or girls – who might like to join them and would welcome potential new recruits on the same day.
