Independent Italian restaurant Riva has just launched its special lunchtime menu aimed at business folk on a tight timescale.
The ‘PranzoRapido’ will still feature freshly prepared dishes, but is designed to be slightly smaller than many offerings from the a la carte menu and also speedier to bring to the table.
With its free car parking Riva, which relocated to the outskirts of Eye at the beginning of May, expects that many workers from across Peterborough can be back at the office within the hour having had an enjoyable break or a fruitful business lunch.
Here’s an idea of what to expect…
Soup: Zuppa di pesce, cod fillet, tuna, mussels and prawns on bruschetta
Assaggini di pasta: Penne with a cream, blue cheese and sage sauceor single cannelloni with ricotta, spinach, bechamel and Napoli sauce
Lunchtime taster plates: Parma ham slices, salami, buffalo mozzarella with pine nuts, marinated vegetables, bruschetta with anchovies and bruschetta with olives or melanzane rolled with mortadella and cheese, red and yellow peppers marinated in garlic oil, arancini and bruschetta with marinated artichoke heart
For those lucky enough to be able to take their time over a weekday lunch, Riva’s a la carte menu continues to be available.
