This is the best day at the office you’ll have all week!
It’s definitely not hard work enjoying 9 to 5 the Musical at the New Theatre, you’ll be tapping your toes, rooting for the three mistreated office workers and laughing out loud at the comedy moments.

The live band nestled amidst the skyscrapers setting on stage do an amazing job providing all the catchy tunes – you HAVE to sing along to Dolly’s 9 to 5 – and there are some real stand out vocals from each cast member in their solos.
Kayla Carter as Judy, Jade Marvin as Violet and Karla Tracey as Doralee are all well cast and bring these much-loved characters from the 80’s film – starring Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin – to life brilliantly.

A great comedic routine where stuffy office busy-body Roz (Jessica Martin) reveals her secret desires for her boss Mr Hart is a real highlight, but there’s lots to love about this production.
We loved the office lush staggering to her desk with a mug of something that definitely isn’t coffee and the scene where our heroines are getting giggly after smoking something they shouldn’t on the roof.
It really captures the essence of the film and power hungry, lecherous boss Franklin Hart Jr is perfectly played by Tim Rogers giving it the full boy’s club swagger.

Congratulations on another fantastic production by Landmark Theatres bringing shows of this calibre to the city.
Great theatre on your doorstep means no commute – 9 to 5 the Musical is well worth clocking in for.
Memo to all musical lovers: 9 to 5 the Musical must not be missed!
