QUEENSGATE LAUNCHES NEW ‘CHILD SAFE’ SCHEME

It’s hard to imagine fewer things scarier for a parent than losing sight of their child.

Thankfully, Queensgate has introduced a new safety scheme which offers a hotline number to assist parents and guardians in finding children who have separated from them whilst out shopping.

By calling the dedicated phone number, parents and guardians will be put in touch with the security team, who’ll use a coordinated approach and CCTV to re-unite them with their children.

The scheme, which also utilises eye-catching posters with the phone number and free wristbands for children to display parents’ and guardians’ phone numbers, is already a success in over 120 shopping centres across the UK and Ireland.

Mark Broadhead, Centre Director at Queensgate Shopping Centre said “Our customer safety and providing an enjoying and relaxed experience is our priority, and Child Safe will give that extra reassurance to our shoppers with children.”

Richard Manville, Director and Co-founder of Child Safe added: “We are thrilled to launch the Child Safe scheme n Queensgate, who have been very supportive in coordinating the scheme.”

Wristbands are available free of charge from the Customer Information Desk outside of John Lewis.
