PRET A MANGER SET FOR CITY

Following months of speculation Queensgate shopping centre is delighted to confirm that the rumours are true – Pret A Manger is coming to Peterborough.

Only the 6th Pret shop in the UK to feature a brand new look, it will take over the old BB’s coffee and Jessops units on Long Causeway. The popular eatery will arrive in the centre towards the end of the year, right in time for Christmas shoppers to indulge in a delicious lunch or a quick pick-me-up.

Also good news for the city is that with its opening, Pret A Manager is creating a number employment opportunities as Peterborough heads into the festive shopping period, with a recruitment day being held in October.

Serving a mouth-watering selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, sushi and soups as well as a delicious array of snacks including Pret Pots, deserts, cakes and slices, Pret offers the perfect place for a light lunch or relaxing coffee break during a shopping trip to Queensgate.

The new-look shop also means the menu is slightly different, offering some delicious cakes which are not yet available in other Pret A Mangers. Queensgate shoppers will also get to try new products first as the shop will trial new foods and drinks.

Sam Eastwood, centre director at Queensgate, told ESP – “We always listen to what our shoppers want and by brining popular chain Pret A Manager to Queensgate, we know we are meeting with their wish to grow our catering offer. Pret will offer visitors the perfect place to enjoy lunch or a quick re-fuel and the option to sit outside means customers can enjoy al fresco dining during the warmer months.

“Since opening in January, Italian restaurant Carluccio’s has proved a huge success and we’re confident that Pret will be just as popular with our shoppers looking for a quick, enjoyable dining experience.”

Esther Arnanz, Area Manager for Pret A Manager, adds – “Opening in Peterborough is really exciting for us. It’s our first in the town and a new menu to us. We look forward to becoming part of the thriving community and are sure customers will love coming to our shop to try our mouth-watering menu and freshly roasted coffee.”
