PETERBOROUGH KIDS’ FEST IS HERE!

Writer: ESP OnlineESP Online

Bored children and frustrated parents finally have an answer to their midwinter prayers as The Peterborough Kids’ Fest comes to town this weekend.

This great new family event is being held at the East of England Arena on February 8 & 9.

It sounds a great idea and the perfect opportunity for any family fed up of being cooped up to get out and let off steam whilst learning.

The Kids’ Festival will feature dozens of indoor attractions aimed at children from 1 – 14 years of age, with a dedicated under-5s area, an adult’s creche, quiet areas for breastfeeding mothers and special provisions for those with additional needs including SEN.

The organisers have brought together attractions they’ve selected to educate, entertain and inform and include fun obstacle courses, circus workshops, arts & crafts, sports, STEM events, storytelling and face painting, as well as bubble football, go-karting, a soft play area, dance and sports.

The Peterborough Kids’ Fest is organised by husband and wife team Mike & Kim Rossiter who came up with the festival after they struggled to find an event suitable for their growing family.

Mike said – “Two things were important to us when devising The Peterborough Kids’ Fest. The first was that every activity will be free once you are inside, and the second was that everyone will be welcome and catered for.

“We are a fully inclusive festival and are making special provisions, such as a quiet tent, so all children can be included in the fun.”
