PEDAL-POWERED PARTY IN THE PARK!

Party in the Park, Peterborough City Council’s celebration of all things pedal-powered, is set to return – and this year it’s bigger than ever.

The grand finale of Travelchoice’s month long series of events returns to Ferry Meadows on Saturday August 30 and it promises to be action packed with free events and activities throughout the day.

The good news is, it’s completely free of charge, and here are some of the things you can enjoy on the day…

  1. Enjoy pedal-powered live music courtesy of local bands and artists

  2. Explore the double decker play bus

  3. Watch four freestyle mountain bike stunt shows

  4. Make free smoothies by picking your own fruit and using blenders attached to bikes

  5. Try out a range of different bikes on the dedicated cycle track

  6. Race friends and family on a pedal-powered Scalextric track

  7. Enjoy the scenery of Ferry Meadows park on a pedibus

As well as all the free activities on offer, there will also be a funfair to enjoy and a barbecue, courtesy of the Green Cafe, for visitors to enjoy (both chargeable).

Lewis Banks, Peterborough City Council’s Principal Transport Planning Officer, told ESP – “We’ve all been able to enjoy a fantastic range of events throughout this year’s Travelchoice month, but Party in the Park must be the highlight. Saturday looks set to be a great day out for all the family and there is lots that is free to enjoy. Come down with friends and family to have some fun and maybe pick up a prize or two.”

It’s on from 11am – 7pm, find out more on www.travelchoice.org.uk of follow them on twitter @pcctravelchoice #PartyinThePark
