We’re big fans of a walk, talk and snack break at Nene Park – a wander round the lakes justifies the huge slice of cake and hot chocolate of course!
The Lakeside Café at the watersports centre seems to go from strength and is always popular especially now with its undercover doggy friendly conservatory and extra seating outside. So it’s great that the Ferry Meadows café next to the Visitor Centre is getting a revamp.
The original café in the Park was due for a refresh and has been getting a full refurbishment, thanks to Meadow Brown Restaurants which also operates the Lakeside Café.
Ferry Meadows Café is where it all started for Raj Regmi, Managing Director of Meadow Brown Restaurants Ltd who says: “Ferry Meadows Cafe holds a very special place in our hearts. We are hoping to transform the look and feel of the café, enhancing the customer experience whilst retaining the values that our customers love.
"Expect big things; a clean, contemporary interior that flows better, with a delicious new menu, still focusing on locally sourced produce, cooked freshly to order. We are excited for the future and cannot wait to welcome you all to our new look café.”
The café refurbishment should be complete in time for the Easter holidays so that’s a another reason to visit Nene Park and take a look.
