Nene Park Trust and Peterborough city council’s Travelchoice team have joined forces to promote the benefits of cycling.
A short film, Cycling in Peterborough’s Nene Park, has been produced to coincide with August’s Travelchoice Month. This short film looks at the delights of exploring Peterborough’s Nene Park on two wheels.

Teresa Wood, Head of Visitor Services, said “We are delighted to work in partnership with Travelchoice to promote the benefits of cycling whether that is for leisure, fitness or commuter purposes. Nene Park is a great place to cycle and there is so much to see and do as you cycle around. The Park is used by families as well as commuters cycling to work so it is important that everyone is aware of a few simple ‘rules’ when cycling in the Park.”

Cycling is a great way to explore Nene Park, but as the paths are shared it is important to give way to others, to use your bell to let other visitors know you are approaching and, where possible, cycle on the left and always adjust your speed accordingly.
Steven Boni, Transport Planner for the city council’s Travelchoice team, said “Cycling is a great way to keep fit, cut carbon emissions and save money but you can do all that and enjoy the lovely scenery around Nene Park. This short film, released as part of Travelchoice’s Cycling Week, shows you the many benefits of cycling and where better to enjoy it than in Nene Park.”
