There’s a colourful new addition to the attractions at Sacrewell near Peterborough this month.
A new exhibition by Djibo Art opens on Saturday February 12 by award-winning international artist Roland Burt.
A range of his vibrant paintings and other objects will go on display at the farm attraction which also features an artisan courtyard with a chocolate maker and gin distillery.
Roland will be the new resident artist at Sacrewell, offering educational workshops and events, as well as showcasing his unique artwork. Djibo Art is a distinctive blend of Yorkshire, African and Caribbean influences and art lovers will have the opportunity to snap up one of his paintings, home décor and even items of clothing.
He said: “I am bringing colour to Sacrewell! What most people don’t realise about my art is there are hidden messages in them; numbers and stories.
“As part of an educational trust, Sacrewell is the perfect base to be able to reach more people through the medium of art and inspire generations to come.”
The grand opening of the exhibition is at 11am on Saturday February 12 and with the launch taking place so close to Valentine’s Day, a romantic element will be incorporated into it - making it a great option for an alternative date idea for romantic couples!
Sacrewell near Wansford is much more than just a historic farm and along with its heritage displays, animals and play areas also offers a variety of cultural and gastronomic events throughout the year.
