Mixology bring us an exclusive this month with Moullinex & Danielle Moore (Crazy P) hitting Red Room on Friday September 26!
If there’s an underlying trait in all good music, it must be its ability to crush boundaries between genres & dance floors. Enter Moullinex, Munich-based Luis Clara Gomes.
Born in a small countryside town in Portugal, Moullinex has remixed for artists such as Cut Copy, Sebastien Tellier, and prestigious indie labels Kitsuné, Modular, Gomma and Compost.
Recent releases such as Love Magnetic capture the sound of Moullinex with a wash of euphoric synths and nu-disco melodies. Teaming up with Royksopp & Robyn on Do It Again, his use of euphoric, eerie synths is prevalent once more. The remix has been a phenomenal success with over 400k Soundcloud listens in the space of 2 months.
With one of the best live dance music shows on the planet, Crazy P have been leaving their mark on the landscape of British dance music for the last 18 years. We’ve had the pleasure of Ron Basejam sending Red Room into a frenzy of excitement and audible delight back in 2012. Now they welcome lead vocalist, Danielle Moore to the DJ fore of Mixology.
Danielle’s vocals are some of the most recognisable and absorbing in the industry. Tracks such as Open for Service, Heartbreaker, Eruption and PBR Streetgang’s production C with No Name showcase the soulful tones of the Crazy P lead. Expect an eclectic mix of Balearic vibes, discoid magic and 90s Mancunian acid.
September’s Mixology will lead you into the small hours with their concoction of cosmic disco, soul and acid house sounds.
It’s a Mixology not to be missed. See you at the front!
