Head down to Serpentine Green’s public exhibition where new plans to modernise the shopping centre will be unveiled!

The exciting plans for British Land’s Serpentine Green in Hampton include introducing new leisure facilities and more high-quality restaurants to the much-loved shopping centre. A new town square will also be created with improved landscaping, which can be used for lots of future outdoor events. The public exhibition revealing these proposals will take place on Friday June 16 (12noon – 6pm) and Saturday June 17 (10am – 3pm) at Serpentine Green where everyone is welcome.

Following the already-underway improvements to the northern entrance, this new development aims to support Hampton locals by linking the facilities with surrounding neighbourhoods, making it even easier for keen shoppers to visit by bike or on foot now too. As well as offering a better shopping experience for all, the proposal also hopes to generate around 240 new jobs, British Land estimates.

David Wait, the Centre Manager at Serpentine Green, said: “with over 5.5million visitors a year, investment is now required to modernise the centre” and with more visitors expected in the future, Serpentine Green is looking like the place to be if plans go ahead!

He also said that they “would welcome suggestions from residents on the inclusion of new leisure options and community facilities” before the planning application is submitted.
