MINECRAFT FAN EVENT COMING TO BORO

With the gaming industry ever growing, Peterborough has been selected as one of the few locations in the UK to host a major family-friendly convention to showcase the latest trends.

Organisers of MineVention have selected Peterborough Arena at the East of England Showground to become the home of a massive one-day convention for Minecraft game lovers.

The event, on Saturday September 12, will be aimed at families with children – with a range of hands-on attractions including:

The chance to ‘meet and greet’ famous Minecraft players

A fan Question and Answer session with their YouTube heroes and the chance to get photos and autographs.

The opportunity to take part in a gaming tournament with the help of Multiplay.

Presentation seminars

Opportunity to buy merchandise

Attempts to break an existing Guinness World Record Title!

Some 5,500 tickets have recently gone on sale for the event, and a number of retailers have already been confirmed.

Lisa O’Brien, director of O’Brien Event Management, said: “We are really excited about bringing what has already established itself as a hugely popular event to Peterborough.

“We chose Peterborough Arena because of its great location in the UK, with excellent motorway and rail links so people can travel easily from all over the country. We were looking for a large venue, and Peterborough Arena fits the bill perfectly.”

General admission is £15 (free for Under 3s) £30 VIP (Early entry from 10am, limited edition t-shirt, fast past ticket for Q&A session).
