LAKELAND IS ON THE MOVE TO QUEENSGATE

Baking enthusiasts and budding chefs form a queue! The brand new Lakeland store in Queensgate has announced its opening date – Monday October 20.

Lakeland’s new look store will offer customers an even better shopping experience. Lakeland is one of Peterborough’s already established brands, relocating from Church Street to the Shopping Centre to make way for a new Bill’s restaurant which will take over the premises.


Lakeland is a specialist in creative kitchenware, practical ideas for the home and garden, and inspiring gifts from all over the world… ideal if you’re been inspired by the Great British Bake Off!

The new and improved store will be situated on the Upper Mall near Central Square and will comprise of a new layout to “make browsing even easier”, says Lakeland store manager, Andrew Wheatley.

He continued, “We are very excited to move to Queensgate. It’s really allowed us to add to the customer experience with an exciting new store design, including a fabulous demonstration kitchen. We have an incredibly loyal customer base here in Peterborough and we look forward to welcoming our existing and new customers into store.”

Sam Eastwood, Queensgate Shopping Centre Director said: “Lakeland is already well-known in the area and it will be a very welcome addition to the Centre. It will greatly complement our retail mix and bring a new dimension to our home ware offering.”

As a special introductory offer, visitors to the current Lakeland store (located opposite Queensgate on Church Street, closing Saturday October 18) will receive a voucher for £5 off a £30 shop in the new Queensgate store*.

*Offer valid from Monday October 20 – Monday November 17.
