Doughnuts are hotting up in Peterborough and ESP was there to try them out!
Krispy Kreme’s newest Hotlight store, one of only 11 in the entire country, at Hadfield in Hampton, got off to a sweet start this morning with over 70 locals lining up to be the first to taste its offerings.
ESP had already had a sneaky taste at the pre-opening party earlier in the week attended by the Mayor of Peterborough and Olympian Louis Smith MBE. Our city gymnast will certainly need some extra energy now he’s on the road to Rio and was on good form as special guests arrived keen to see the latesst addition to Peterborough’s food scene.
At the public opening today (July 13) customers in-store and in the Drive Thru were dough-eyed as they watched the store’s range of delicious fresh doughnuts being made in its unique doughnut theatre – a true sensory experience!
The range includes its melt-in-your-mouth new Nutty Chocolatta flavour, which is filled with Nutella and coated in chocolate, white chocolate swirls and caramelised hazelnuts.
The store will also be serving customers two great doughnut companions – Krispy Kreme coffee and its delicious Kreme shakes.
What’s more, the first dozen in each line were treated to an exclusive goody bag and to celebrate Krispy Kreme’s 79th birthday, the first 79 in line were given a specially made birthday doughnut!
Judith Denby, Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme, said: “We’re really excited to have opened our new Hotlight store in Peterborough and the time and effort has really paid off. We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do, especially those who received one of our special birthday doughnuts!”
