Fans of the latest sports gear will be delighted to learn that sporting superstore JD Sports has announced an exciting new store concept in Queensgate shopping centre.
The UK’s leading trainer and sports fashion retailer will take a new store and increase its trading size to 4,000sqft, offering city shoppers an impressive collection of limited edition and exclusive designs from Adidas Originals and Nike.
Sam Eastwood, centre director at Queensgate (pictured left), comments: “Following the opening of our Primark superstore, Burger King, Greggs and Topshop’s significant extension late last year, coupled with the arrival of Carluccio’s in February, we are enormously encouraged that JD Sports has chosen to develop and expand its current store. Another high street favourite choosing to increase their unit size in Queensgate further demonstrates the confidence national retailers have in the city centre.
“Queensgate continues to go from strength to strength, following significant investments in both Primark and also in the centre’s four car parks. Such activity has led to an overall increase in footfall throughout the centre and helped us to create a modern retail environment which has proved exceptionally popular with our visitors.
