St. Peter’s Church in Yaxley is opening its doors to an evening of style and fashion to provide a unique ladies’ event to kick-start the festive season.
A fun evening of style demos and fashion talks is being held on Friday December 9 in partnership with StylePeg and in aid of charity.
Set against the stunning backdrop of St. Peter’s Church, there’ll be an opportunity to peruse a number of festive fashion and jewellery stalls while enjoying a free glass of bubbly and a mince pie, before hearing from guest speakers including BBC presenter Diane Louise Jordan, Sally-Ann Best, Fashion Designer and lecturer at DeMontfort University, and Alex Agboke, founder of StylePeg – Peterborough’s newest styling company.
Alex Agboke commented: “We live in a world where a woman’s worth is largely judged upon her physical appearance. We have been designed for beauty but our style should be simple, personal and affordable. This event is all about showing women how they can achieve this for themselves so they can get on with their day feeling and looking fabulous but also knowing that their worth is not defined by who and what they wear.”
Jon Randall, vicar of St. Peter’s Church, Yaxley added: “We look forward to continuing to welcome our local community this Christmas. This unique event will really open the doors to provide the women of Peterborough with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an evening of fashion – something we’ve never done before! And it’s all in aid of a great cause.”
Doors open at 7.30pm on Friday December 9 and tickets are just £10 online – just search for ‘A Stylish Christmas’ on EventBrite.co.uk (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-stylish-christmas-tickets-28419815433) – on Facebook, or purchase them on the door.
Profits will go to Daughters of Cambodia, a Christian charity working to help women gain their freedom from the sex industry.
